WHAT IS A WALK-IN TUB?

A walk-in tub is a bathtub that has been accommodated with accessibility options, e.g. a side-door or cut out that allows easy access, for persons with mobility issues or those wishing to have peace of mind that a walk-in tub offers. We offer the option to either convert an existing bathtub or install a brand new walk-in tub.

WHAT IS A WALK-IN SHOWER?

A walk-in shower is a shower or tub that has been replaced or made accessible with different options. Most of the time this means replacing a bathtub with a shower without a lip on the edge so that it is wheelchair accessible. It can also mean including seating or handrails for ease of accessibility.

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

We have many different suppliers, depending on the product that best meets the clients’ needs. Materials can range from items such as fiberglass, vikrell, or acrylic.

WHAT WILL IT COST TO INSTALL A WALK-IN TUB?

Costs vary by individual project, but we do offer free consultations so that you can contact us and find out what we offer to fit your budget! We can also direct you to available financing options.

IS THERE ANY GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE TO HELP PAY FOR A TUB?

If you have a disability, there might be! Ask your caseworker.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL?

The install can normally be done in one to two days.

WILL I HAVE A COLOR CHOICE?

For most options, yes! While walk-in tubs only come in white, deep soakers and walk-in showers come in five different color choices. There are also 19 color choices for the surround and nine different patterns.

DOES INSTALLING A WALK-IN TUB IN PLACE OF AN EXISTING SHOWER STALL CHANGE MY BATH FROM A 3/4 BATH TO A FULL BATH?

Always check with your real estate agent for value, but generally yes. When this happens, you are also increasing the value of your home.

CAN YOU PUT A DOOR ON MY EXISTING TUB?

We can provide a tub cut out option for existing fiberglass tubs, which will create a lower entry point in your existing tub. However, we are currently unable to provide a fully functioning door into an existing fiberglass tub.

WILL THIS TUB FIT INTO MY BATHROOM?

We have 22 different sizes and configurations, so chances are good! We will perform a free estimate and measure your entire bathroom to get an idea of which tub or shower will work best for your bathroom.
